Spring Break came to a tragic end for 18-year-old Justin Walker, who, days after going missing after a spring break party at the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark in South Padre Island, was found dead at a beach near Matamoros, a Mexican border city. His parents identified Walker after being notified that a body matching their son’s description had been found.
Law enforcement authorities in Cameron Country had scrambled to find the San Antonio teenager days after he was last seen at a spring break party at the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark in South Padre Island. Walker was last seen early Saturday morning after breaking away from his friends while watching an outdoor concert.
At the time, he was wearing a Navy blue tribal shirt, dark shorts, Nike shoes, and a black cap. His car was found near the tent are of Isla Blanca Park. Authorities have deployed search patrols, including fire trucks, helicopters, and K9 units trained to find cadavers. The dogs were sent to go looking for worker in marshy areas near the event, but found nothing.
