A woman was killed after a car crashed into her SUV on Interstate 10, in the Far East Side of San Antonio. The victim was identified as Jennifer Attaway, 31 years of age. She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities say the accident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on I-10 at Ackerman Road, when the victim’s car sustained a flat tire, forcing her to pull over on the side of the road and get off to inspect her car. Investigators believe she was either existing or entering her car when a Mazda crashed into her. The accident continues to be under investigation.
A police spokesman announced that investigators suspect the Mazda driver may have passed out behind the wheel. However, the driver is not facing any charges as of press time. At Barrus Injury Lawyers, we believe accidents that cause wrongful death should result in the proper awarding of compensation for damages to the aggrieved party.
