A deadly crash involving an 18-wheeler, a trash truck, and a dump truck caused the death of one motorist and shut down traffic on the southbound lanes of North Collins Street in Arlington, Texas. Arlington police report that the accident happened at the intersection of North Collins and Moiser Valley Road, at around 11:00 a.m.
A Duncan Disposal trash truck was reportedly heading southbound on Collins Road and was about to turn westbound to Moiser Valley, when it crashed into an 18-wheeler truck and a dump truck as it made the turn. The impact caused the trash truck to flip and land on its side, killing its driver. Officials from the Arlington Police Department confirmed the trash truck driver died at the scene, while the dump truck was brought immediately to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The 18-wheeler’s driver escaped with no injuries. Police have yet to disclose the identities of those involved in the crash, and are still investigating the events that triggered the accident. The outcome of the investigation will play a critical role in establishing liability in this accident and claiming damages. So far, it seems Duncan Disposal is liable for compensation, but an insurance adjuster can still spin the case, especially if the claimant isn’t backed by a San Antonio truck accident lawyer.
