A Bangladeshi couple was killed in a tragic and fatal car accident in Texas, near Normangee. Mahbubul Sourav, age 55, and his wife Safina Sourav, age 48, originally migrated from the Tangail District in Bangladesh, coming to reside in the Elmhurst neighborhood in Queens. The couple was vacationing in Texas with family.
According to Texas state police, the accident happened on the evening of August 28, when the car they were riding crashed head-on with another automobile. The accident also killed the other car’s driver, one Carlos Lopez, age 27. The couple’s son, Shadab Sourab, age 23, was behind the wheel at the time of the accident. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
