A multi-vehicle car crash off of Aransas Pass, Texas led to one man being transported to a hospital after his car was hit by an 18-wheeler truck. According to Department of Public Safety officials, the accident happened at around 7 a.m. on Highway 35. DPS troopers said that a red car ran a stop sign before entering the highway, right after which it was hit by a heavy truck.
Investigators believe that the driver of the red car might not have seen the stop sign due to heavy fog that morning. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains under critical condition. The big rig driver only sustained minor injuries.
