A motorcycle rider was rushed to the hospital for severe injuries after crashing his 1999 Harley Davidson into a red Ford Crown Victoria on South Western Street in Amarillo, Texas. Amarillo Police Department officials learned that Andy Marvin Cleaver, age 57, had struck the side of the Ford driven by Connie White, age 73, also of Amarillo.
According to authorities, the car was turning left at the time of the collision. It’s unclear if Whitt was hurt, though she did decline any medical treatment at the scene of the accident. Officials believe alcohol was not a factor in the accident. Investigators are working with APD Traffic to learn the complete story.
Accidents like this obviously raise concerns about establishing liability, the critical factor for determining whether either party can file a claim for personal injury. This is precisely the reason why hiring a motorcycle accident lawyer is so important; you need someone on your side with resources to conduct an independent investigation of the accident, ensuring your rights are protected.
